The Raiders are expected to put in complaints against Rabbitohs captain Asotasi and former co-captain Kidwell after chief executive Don Furner criticised both after the match. Kidwell was seen performing a dubious tackle on Glen Turner and Asotasi made a similar tackle on Dane Tilse. "The replay clearly showed his [Turner's] arm was being ripped," Furner told reporters. "We only spilt the ball once in the first half and that was when that was happening to GT's arm. "It also happened to Dane Tilse. I am sure Neil Henry will look at it and what I said during the game was that we would probably send in a complaint." Asotasi said his team was simply out-enthused by Canberra all game. "It seems like we go out there and we just don't want to win," Asotasi said. "Canberra came out and wanted to win that game. They wanted it more than us. "Our starts to both halves, there was no intensity there."

Kidwell pleads guilty to 'chicken wing' tackle 20th May 2008 David Kidwell South Sydney forward David Kidwell has entered an early guilty plea and escaped suspension for a "chicken wing" tackle on Raider Glen Turner at Canberra Stadium last night. The New Zealand international has earned 93 demerit points for his contrary conduct charge for unnecessary pressure to the arm in the 17th minute of last night's 38-10 loss. Penrith youngster Sam McKendry also entered an early guilty plea and accepted a one-week ban for dropping his knees in last Sunday's home win over the New Zealand Warriors. Canberra's Scott Logan has also escaped a suspension by pleading guilty to a careless high tackle on Roy Asotasi last night but will have 53 carryover points on his record. Photograph Copyright : Getty Images The Raiders, missing a number of key players, scored seven tries to two to continue their brilliant home form. After winning their first game of the season a fortnight ago, the Rabbitohs turned in a disgraceful performance. Their defence was non-existent at times while the little possession they enjoyed was invariably squandered. Canberra took just 52 seconds to post first points following a bad mistake by Souths. Winger Shannon Hegarty was deceived by the backspin on a downfield kick, kneeing the ball towards his own line as he attempted to slide in and clean up. That left Joel Monaghan with a simple pick up to stroll across the line and score. Todd Carney converted the try for a 6-0 lead. Carney was again on target with the conversion, easing the hosts in front 12-4. The Raiders increased their lead on the half hour, Trevor Thurling brushing past some ineffectual defence to post his first try in the NRL. At 18-4, Hollywood star and Souths co-owner Russell Crowe was probably regretting travelling to the capital to watch his side. His mood darkened further in the 35th minute when Canberra skipper Alan Tongue's chip kick was collected by Terry Campese, who sprinted 40m to score. Second half tries to Monaghan, Adrian Purtell and Bronx Goodwin saw Canberra clear out to an unassailable lead before Dean Widders picked up a consolation try at the death.
